1. Introduction

Welcome to NoorSense.

This Privacy Policy explains how NoorSense (“NoorSense”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the NoorSense mobile application and any compatible NoorSense hardware devices (collectively, the “Services”).

NoorSense is a privacy-focused journaling and self-reflection platform designed to perform analysis primarily on the user’s device.

NoorSense is intended solely for journaling, self-reflection, personal wellbeing, and habit-building purposes. NoorSense does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, or crisis intervention services, and information generated by the App should not be considered professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We are committed to minimizing data collection and giving users control over their personal information.

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

The App may process information that you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Journal entries and written reflections
  • Voice recordings used for speech-to-text transcription
  • Images selected or captured for text recognition (OCR)
  • Mood selections and self-reflection responses

  • Names assigned to connected NoorSense hardware devices

2.2 Device Information

The App may access certain device capabilities solely to provide requested functionality, including:

The App does not access device capabilities for advertising or user tracking purposes.

2.3 Bluetooth Connectivity

The App may use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionality to discover, connect to, and communicate with compatible NoorSense hardware devices, including the NoorSense Flower.

To support Bluetooth functionality, the App may request permissions such as:

  • Bluetooth Scan
  • Bluetooth Connect
  • Nearby Devices permissions
  • Location permissions where required by the operating system

Bluetooth communication is used exclusively to establish and maintain communication between the App and compatible NoorSense hardware devices.

The App may temporarily process:

  • Device identifiers necessary for establishing a connection
  • Connection status information

3. How Information Is Processed

A core principle of NoorSense is privacy-first processing.

To the extent technically feasible, journal analysis, sentiment analysis, clustering, insight generation, speech transcription, text recognition, and AI-powered reflection tools are performed locally on the user’s device.

Your journal content is not transmitted to NoorSense servers for analysis during standard operation of the App.

NoorSense does not use journal content to train artificial intelligence models.

4. Data Storage

User content is stored locally on the user’s device.

This may include:

  • Journal entries
  • Generated insights
  • Application settings
  • Downloaded AI models
  • Voice transcription results
  • OCR results
  • Bluetooth device preferences
  • Connected hardware settings

Where supported by the application, data may be protected through encryption and device security features.

Users remain responsible for securing access to their devices.

Users may:

  • Delete journal entries
  • Delete generated insights
  • Remove Bluetooth device connections
  • Clear application data
  • Uninstall the App

Locally stored information may be removed when deleted by the user, subject to device operating system behavior and backup settings.
